A Big Spa Day at Negorci

~50 km~70 minHalf-day trip

Negorci is a village 5 km north of Gevgelija whose thermal water comes out of two natural springs: the 'Vrela banja', or hot bath, at about 40 C, and the 'Ladna banja', or cold bath, at about 38 C. Other wells on the site have been measured between 36 and 62 C.

It is the southernmost spa in North Macedonia and operates as a bathing and rehabilitation centre with pools, hydro-massage and hotel accommodation. From the hacienda it is roughly 50 km, about 70 minutes by road.

What to expect

This is a working spa in the local tradition rather than a designer wellness resort: indoor and outdoor pools, treatment rooms, and a green, relaxed village setting in the foothills. Families, older guests and people recovering from too much Belasica all fit in.

Bathing and hydro-massage are the core offer, with hotel accommodation on site for anyone who wants to turn the afternoon into a night away.

When it beats Bansko

Bansko is our default spa trip, about 10 minutes away, and it is where the retreat arranges most massage treatments. Negorci is the bigger day out: further, warmer water, indoor pools for rainy days and shoulder seasons.

If your week includes a Gevgelija day, or a trip south towards Greece, Negorci slots onto the same road without adding distance.

Practical planning

Phone ahead for treatments, especially massage and physiotherapy slots, if you are coming as a group from the retreat. Bring swimwear and a towel as you would anywhere.

Indoor pools make it a reliable option in any weather, and the water temperature does not change with the season.
